Where Can I Buy Acoustic Panels?

Updated

You can buy acoustic panels at Home Depot, Lowe's, Costco and Amazon, or straight from makers like ATS Acoustics and GIK Acoustics. Where can I buy acoustic panels with a published rating? Usually from the maker. GIK lists NRC 1.05 for its FlexRange Acoustic Panel (opens in a new tab), while a lot of store listings give no NRC at all.

  • Home Depot: Owens Corning fabric-covered panels in 2 x 4 ft two-packs, plus fabric panels from other brands.
  • Costco: Artika Sonolok slat panel kits, which are wood slats on felt.
  • Lowe's and Amazon: foam, polyester felt and slat panels from lots of brands and third-party sellers.
  • Direct: ATS (opens in a new tab) lists a 2 x 4 ft, 2 in. panel at $79.95 with free ground shipping on most items, and GIK sells its 2 x 4 ft FlexRange at $119 (list prices as of October 2026).

Wherever you buy, look for an NRC at a stated thickness and the lab test behind it, usually ASTM C423. That's what lets you stack a store panel up against, say, 2 in. Owens Corning 703 (opens in a new tab) board at NRC 1.00. If a listing has neither number, you've got nothing to go on.

Watch out: A panel sold as "soundproof" at any store is almost always an absorber. It cuts echo, not noise through the wall. The soundproof panels guide shows what actually blocks noise.

Prices by type and for a whole room are in how much acoustic panels cost, and there are more buying questions in the soundproof panels FAQ.
